Well…let’s see – wine is eternal and arguably came onto the scene not too long after Adam and Eve (it’s a safe bet grapes were in the Garden, right? Can’t prove otherwise so I’m sticking to that until I get an answer).
Consumption of quality wines made the same artisan way of days gone by, brings to the drinker all the natural and likely ‘intended’ benefits.

And some people don’t even give it any thought at all. After all… it’s wine right? It’s on the shelves with attractive eye-catching labels, there’s plenty of it displayed – so someone must have thought it was good.
Scientific advances have helped mass producers make cheap wine nearly as good as the expensive stuff. However, to preserve these wines and extend shelf life, higher amounts of preservatives like sulfites are often used (read more about it). Another little known fact, the FDA doesn’t require winemakers to disclose exactly what is in each bottle. They only have to state alcohol volume, the presence of sulfites, and coloring additives.
